Dr. Schoenfeld’s successful, multinational clinical drug development career spans over 20 years in both the large pharmaceutical and biotech arenas. His broad experience includes development of small molecules, biologics and devices in multiple therapeutic areas such as Oncology, Inflammation, Growth Disorders, Metabolic Diseases and Obesity. He has been responsible for IND/CTA preparation, first-in-human studies, Phase 2 and 3, late Phase 3, NDA/MAA/JNDA and expert report preparation in CTD and other formats. In addition, he has had the opportunity to defend marketing applications/NDAs in EU (CHMP), USA (FDA) and Japan (PMDA-former KIKO and DEC). His tenure has included time at CIBA-Geigy, Procter and Gamble Pharmaceuticals, Amylin, Isis Pharmaceuticals, Pharmacia’s European Development Headquarters in High Wycombe, UK, Pfizer Sandwich, UK and Pfizer La Jolla Laboratories via Pharmacia acquisition. Most recently, he served as Vice President for Clinical and Regulatory Affairs at CovX Research, and through a second acquisition by Pfizer, served as Executive Director for Biotherapeutics Clinical Development, Pfizer Biotherapeutics Division. Dr. Schoenfeld received his MD from New York Medical College, completed his residency in internal medicine at the Westchester County Medical Center in Valhalla, New York, and completed fellowship training in Endocrinology at the University of Washington in Seattle.
